As T'Challa slowly recovers from his battle with The Coal Tiger, the aftermath from the events of the past year continue to be felt around the world. Wakanda has been cleared of the attack against N'Gabo but sentiment against the country is at an all-time high. Broken diplomatic and economic ties have to be mended. There is still a humanitarian crisis in N'Gabo and The Coal Tiger's allies, Markus Zulu and Moss Magnum have disappeared into the shadows. Shuri has been busy at the United Nations who have reluctantly agreed to drop war crime charges against The Black Panther. She has offered Wakandan resources and assistance to help aid N'Gabo who has elected a new leader, Krysa M'Tandu as President.
T'Challa himself has looked to strengthen ties with his business counterpart Tony Stark who remains missing (see recent issues of Invincible Iron Man). But perhaps the biggest challenge for the mending King will be a personal one. He must somehow build a better, stronger bond with his "son" T'Zari who lives with his mother Zanda, Queen of Niganda. T'Challa thinks to himself that he would rather face a horde of the worst villains that have this upon him. He wasn't ready to be a father and then to learn that he did not "sire" an offspring only made things that much more difficult. But no matter, T'Zari is an heir of Wakanda and will be treated as such. But will T'Challa be able to treat him as his son?
While Wakanda tries its best to make amends to the world, some are not so eager to let The Panther of the hook so easily. Sen Sharon Kelly Chairs the powerful Senate Armed Forces Committee. She has recently helped Cord Industries attain a gov't contract to manufacture hi tech military weapons and has also increased the budget for the top law enforcement agency HAMMER. She has been methodically going after her perceived enemies and T'Challa is now risen to the top of her list. She makes a discreet call to Hammer sub-Director Jasper Sitwell and tells him to put together a special task force, one good enough to bring down The Black Panther!

Now, Director Peter Gyrich has appeared in their home and demands an update. There is evidence that former agents of Nick Fury are somewhere in this part of the country but so far there have been no confirmed sightings. Gyrich also wants to know why there weren't the ones to report that Master Man and Warrior Woman were living in the same neighborhood.
Cloud 9 tells Gyrich that that two aren't their assignment and he has other people to monitor and handle that task. Their sole mission is to find Fury's team and that's what they will do. Gyrich tells her that their job is to do what he tells them to do and to produce results. Patriot, sensing the tension mount in the room tells Gyrich that's exactly what they're doing. If they find anything, he will be the first to know. Gyrich prepares to leave and tells them to report any information they have directly to him as soon as they have it.
Later that night, Abby and Eli sit silently at their dinner table, each thinking what their next move should be. Finally, Abby breaks the silence. She tells Eli that they are HAMMER's most successful agents, with the highest mission success rate than any other agents. No one else comes close to what they have accomplished. This suburban life that they've built in Normalville is a not real, it's all a facade. And she's never felt happier in her life of what they have here. Eli tells her that he feels the same way. He never thought that he would have this kind of happiness, that he enjoys working with kids and the friends that they have made. And speaking of friends, what are they going to do about Jack and Rachel? They've known for some time now that their friends are better known as Nomad and Diamondback! Do they come clean and tell their friends the truth?

Peter Petruski was a fairly talented chemical engineer. He never reached the level of a Pym, Banner, Stark, Richards, or Von Doom but he had a fairly lucrative and successful career. But pettiness kept him from enjoying and finding satisfaction in that career. Going along with an increasingly popular trend of costuming oneself and pursuing an independent path as either super-hero or villain, Petruski embarked on a career as the villainous Paste Pot Pete. A world-wide crisis (or whatever events in Age of Marvels are called) cleaned Pete’s reputation and he ended up as part of the Fantastic Four’s F2 Foundation. When the Fantastic Four vanished, he and Josephine, an intelligent and telepathic gorilla fell into an … unusual … interspecies relationship. When Josephine was killed during another worldwide event, Petruski went off a quest for revenge. He found and allied himself with Ivan Kragoff, the Red Ghost, a Russian scientist operative who was responsible for Josephine’s intelligence and powers. The two and Lucia Von Bardas, a Latverian rebel fighting to restore her nation to a pre-Doctor Doom government.
The three had engaged in battle with Doombots, android copies of Doctor Doom and had been beaten. Von Bardas’ cyborg parts were badly mangled, and he lay helpless and dying. Pete fell into a trance (which is how last issue ended). We learn what Josephine’s Ultron created parts and her telepathy connected with Pete in a Spock/McCoy “Remember” moment. What does Pete know? What can he do? And why has he changed his name from “Paste Pot Pete” to “Trapster”?
Also, Sue Storm gets a job! What is she doing? You need to read the book. But your first clue is Kate McKinnon is once again doing SNL skits from home. Your second clue is in the series “Hulk in Office.” Read it, OK?
Reed is balancing watching his old college buddy Victor Von Doom, planning the best uses for Johnny and Ben regarding the battles in Eastern Europe, and being a stay at home dad with one teenage boy and a pre-teen daughter. Johnny’s been running interference on reporter Julie Angel, but if he and Ben go to Europe to head off WW3, can Reed keep his kids from blabbing to a reporter?
And speaking of Europe, Reed didn’t remember proving one of German David Hilbert’s math problems. Franklin? No, wait, did Val, 10 year old Val, solve a decades old mathematical problem? Ypou didn’t think we’d make being a stay-at-home Dad an easy job, did you?

In another part of the Middle East, US Agent and Freedom Force are on a mission in the country of Baharan to find out who killed an American ally. Miss Patriot and American Dream question what ally does the US have in this region. Everyone in this country is a terrorist! Walker tells them to fall in line, they don't question orders, just complete the assigned mission. But Walker knows that his team is full of doubts about this mission. Why would the gov't partner with any terrorist organization? They should be here to bring them to justice!
Back at Camp Hammond, the newest members of The Initiative continue their training with Free Spirit. There is a heated contest between Duncan, Marley and Chavez for leadership of this young team as they compete against each other in every drill. Free Spirit takes note of this as she grades each member. They get a surprise visit from HAMMER Director Clay Quartermain and his assistant Victoria Hand. They are looking for a group of special individuals for a highly classified mission that will take them to The Savage Land. There are American assets that they have lost contact with and they need to reach them before Chinese or Russian operatives. This is an extremely dangerous mission with many live son the line. Free Spirit tells her team to pack their gear and get ready for a road trip!
