Although the Enterprise did visit an Earth in its 21st century, both evidence and more importantly to me, Spock’s corroboration, prove we were in some sort of alternate dimension, like the universe visited with our own evil counterparts. We had attempted to circumvent a vortex like disturbance in space but were sucked into it and appeared within the Sol system asteroid belt. Signals were not answered and we proceeded to Earth, finding the planet in its early 21st century.
“A major issue is my choice of communications officer M’Ress on an away mission to an Earth decades pre-first contact. The Earth we encountered had experienced extraterrestrial contact though. Additionally, none of the tech was recognized as belonging to any species we know of. That and the existence of metahuman beings on this earth made the choice of the lieutenant logical.
“Lt. M’Ress’ mission was to contact a metahuman known as Peter Parker. Parker possessed irradiated blood as well as examples of spider DNA within his system. It’s called KR-416 (KR refers to Killer Robot). Its creator and/or controller may have had another name for it, but after it wreaked havoc in New York City requiring Doc Samson to physically stop it, it became nothing but a weapon in yet another super-villain criminal trial which was an open and shut case with a guilty verdict. The device (formerly a Soviet Venus Probe) was sent to Area 44 for examination before ultimately being dismantled and terminated.
Jr. Grade Technician Harley Keener followed A-44 procedures to the letter but discovered that KR-416 was possessed of a sentience. If KR-416 was sentient, then dismantling and termination would be a death sentence which in New York State is not allowed. Advice from Tony Stark (yes, THAT Tony Stark) brings Keener to the doorstep of Matt Murdock and Franklin Nelson, Attorneys at Law. The firm and their new partner, gamma irradiated but still brilliant Jennifer Walters specialize in super-hero and meta-human cases.
Nelson, Murdock, and Walters’ task is to show that KR-416 despite being guilty in the initial trial is sentient life and therefore immune from the death penalty. The federal government is also trying to have the charges become federal to be able to invoke the death penalty.
This may be the book that inspires you to go to Law School.

T'Challa has left the UN building in New York after a very contentious session with the General Assembly. Things are getting out of hand quickly and it won't be long before the rest of the world takes some kind of action against Wakanda. As he returns to the Wakandan embassy, he tells his driver to stop and exits the vehicle. He beings walking down the street towards the subway and descends into the dark tunnels. T'Challa walks about 100 yards and stops. He then slowly turns and tells Agent Nuke and his team that they no longer need to hide, he knows that they have been following him since he left the UN building. Nuke along with Snapdragon steps from the shadows followed by the rest of The Shadow Initiative, Lady Bullseye and Bombshell. Nuke smiles and tells T'Challa that he's been a very bad kitty. He can come along quietly or they can find out if a cat really has nine lives!

Reed’s a PhD scientist working for a classified government project which his wife and family think he spends way too much time on. Richards was spoken of as a possible equal to Einstein or Hawking, but that potential never panned out as optimistically as hoped. Franklin is a reasonably intelligent teenager, following a creative path as opposed to his father’s left brain His sister, Valeria is a child prodigy and is set to attend High School with her brother in September. Franklin is desperate to make his own way and he participates in drama and music. Valeria’s situation is causing “Don’t call me SHELDON!” to become her catchphrase. Ben’s the football coach at Central City High to keep the sitcom like collection intact.
Were you expecting superpowered folks in skintight blue jumpsuits? Not in this issue. But you will find out the song Franklin decides to sing for his audition for the local summer stock of “The Rocky Horror Show”, “Try to Remember” from “The Fantasticks”. A glimmer of light appears in Franklin’s left eye.

With the help of Yelena Belova The White Widow, Tony and Rhodey have secretly made it into Moscow in search of Maria and Bethany who have been missing in Russia for weeks now. Maria and Bethany were lured into a trap by the Red Widow who wants to return Maria to Red Room and finish her training to become a Widow. While evading the local authorities, Yelena has taken them to a series of underground tunnels that lead directly below a Red Room training facility. Making their way their way thru the darkened tunnels, they soon come to a location that Yelena believes is directly below one of the Red Room sites. Suddenly, lights within the tunnels come on to reveal that they are surrounded by heavily armed Russian troops and their leader, the Russian super soldier, The Red Guardian!
Elsewhere in that same facility, Maria sits alone in a room in deep thought, going over her plan to escape. She has had little contact with anyone except for the guard that checks in on her and has been separated from Beth since they were brought here. This can only mean that the Red Widow is in the process of trying to turn Beth into a Widow first and that she will be next. She escaped the Red Room and vows that she will never become a Russian pawn again. As the guard enters her room, Maria collapses on the floor, causing the guard to rush to her side to check on her. She quickly disarms the guard and grabs her around the throat, snapping her neck! She then picks up the weapon and puts on the dead guard's uniform. Maria thinks to herself that this is her best chance to escape! But then she realizes that Beth came to Moscow to support her and that she can't leave her behind, even if it means being captured again or killed! She won't leave Beth behind!
