New leadership has been brought in to get the agency back on track and re-gain the trust of Congress and skeptical politicians! Peter Gyrich has been named as the new co-Director alongside Clay Quartermain. His first move is to bring in James Woo and Jasper Sitwell as his top lieutenants who report directly to him while Victoria Hand continues to work with Quartermain! He has also begun a new program aimed at training recruits and established a team of super-operatives to defend America and hunt down any traitorous agents, including those who worked for Nick Fury, now in HAMMER custody!
However, Quartermain managed to keep Fury out of the reach of Gyrich. He believes that Nick is guilty of numerous crimes but doesn't trust Gyrich to treat him fairly. He also thinks that this new project by Gyrich is just an excuse to go after the agents who believed that they were working with the real Nick! Elsewhere, in an undisclosed location, Scorpio, Agent 13, Kimodo and American Eagle have agreed to stay together as a team. But Nomad and Diamondback decided to leave and strike out on their own. They will all need to be careful and watch their back. The US gov't has just accused them all of being foreign spies and have branded them as enemies of the state!

Undisclosed HAMMER holding facility: Jason and Monica have been captured by HAMMER agents and are being held in separate rooms awaiting interrogation! The LMD conspiracy brought them back to the US but it looks like their mission is about to end before it gets started. Armed guards with enter Jasons' cell and orders him to get up. Jason thinks about making a move but decides against it, especially since he doesn't know where Monica is being held. After walking down to an elevator that takes him to a lower level, Jason is brought to a room to find Monica sitting in a chair. She asks him if anyone has spoken to him, both of them confused as to what's going on.
Victoria Hand enters the room and tells them both sit sit down and listen. A deal was made for them escape this facility and to go to a set of coordinates to meet up with other agents. Monica tells Hand to drop dead, there's no way that they believe anything she says. Hand tells Monica to stop talking and listen: she whispers a word, a word given to them by the Black Panther when they were in Wakanda. This has all been arranged, their capture, being brought to this facility.
Clay Quartermain, Nick Fury and The Panther worked out an arrangement for them to be captured by Hand so that that they could get information and resources. They will escape and meet with Scorpio, Diamondback, Nomad and Agent 13 to plan their next move! They ask where's Fury and Hand tells the only thing they need to be concerned about right now is survival!

Or is it that Simon requested that his frequent collaborator, famed marijuana-enthusiast and comedic actor Zane Whelan, portray “Thunderbolt” Ross and deliver the line: “I’m gonna roll up that green man and smoke him!”
Or, perhaps, is it that Simon insists on a faux British accent for Dr. Bruce Banner? (“It just sounds nerdier!”).
Whatever the reason, these two can’t get along… which in super-power land, means they might have to get it on! Simon’s plan is to try and avoid a fight through conversation over tall, half-caff, non-fat soy lattes. What are the odds that this works?
