He asks his “uncle” Ben the HS football coach to train him so he can get a body worth showing off on stage. He learns not to phrase it like that around his blood uncle Johnny.
As for the rest of the cast and the idea that this is supposed to be a superhero book (like, really, what is going on with that?), Dr. Susan Storm, ophthalmologist is preparing a paper on some repetitive patterns in retinal scans where the belief was that each retinal pattern was unique. Reed Richards is investigating the increasing possibility that another planet exists on the other side of the sun exactly opposed to Earth. This is an annoyance to Reed's supervisor, Franklin Hall.

Bombshell and Lady Bullseye take off on their own and Super-Patriot heads to the training academy to check on the latest recruits! There are quite a few who show real promise and he will put in a request with Gyrich to take them on a mission soon.
Across the country, there have been a growing number of protests over conflicts in the Middle East, Africa and other hotspots around the globe. Some of the protests have turned into clashes with the police and their is intel that suggests that some of the protesters are foreign agents and possibly terrorists! Online chatter suggests some kind of big action at New York University and Freedom Force has been asked to support the police. As the crowd of protesters and counter-protesters grow, Bucky II spots someone with a hood and their face masked about to light a Molotov cocktail and rushes towards them!
Chaos erupts as protesters and police begin to clash! U.S. Agent tells Freedom Force to ignore everyone else and go after the perp! The team rushes through the crowd and quickly surrounds the suspect and remove any tools that he was using to start the fire! When they found the facility where they believe Maria and Beth are held, Rhodey and Yelena held off Russian troops, giving Tony a chance to go find their friends!
Maria managed to escape from the room they were holding her in and began to search for Beth when she was surrounded by Russian special forces. Outnumbered, it was only a matter of time before she was captured again when she started to hear the sound of repulsor blasts! Tony had found her and they began to embrace with a passionate kiss! She asked him why he was only wearing the Iron Man gauntlets and not the full armor! He told her that it was a stealth mission and the full suit would have drawn too much attention.
Tony asks her where's Beth and Maria tells him that they were separated but she has an idea where Beth is being held. Just then they run into Yelena and Rhodey who had no problem with the Russian soldiers. Maria leads them to the facility where she thinks Beth is held and they manage to infiltrate it with little resistance. Suddenly, the Red Widow appears with more Russian special forces and orders them to capture the interlopers!
Although they're surrounded, Tony and his friends give a good fight and manage to take down the Russian soldiers! Tony tells the Red Widow that she's alone and outnumbered! Tell him where Beth is and they will leave! Suddenly, the team is attacked from behind by a new and unexpected foe! The Red Widow begins to laugh and tells Tony that him and his friends never stood a chance. As for Beth, she's standing right beside me! Let me introduce you to Russia's newest Red Room assassin....The Winter Widow!!! Next Issue: Heart of Ice!

Mayor Sadie Sinclair is worried about the villains called DOOM LOOP in the aftermath of their attack on the Tenderloin.
The name might be terribly on the nose, but still, it’s terrible PR.
(Fun fact: contrary to what you might have heard, San Francisco’s crime rate has fallen over the last few years!)
The mutual aid organization called SFX repelled the initial attack by Weird Woman and the moloid Mutant Master named Mooneye.
Suzanne Chan, aka SWAY, arrived on the scene quickly and used her time abilities to limit damage and give time for her teammates to arrive.
Despite this, the tech mogul billionaire Kenzo Xiu of Taiji Corp is using the attack as an excuse to rally for the expulsion of mutants and unhoused people from the city.
One of SFX’s community organizers, David Ishima, gives Suzanne message from one of his volunteers, the young Leo Eng.
There’s a growing suspicion that Taiji Corp is actually behind the Doom Loop, and that Kenzo Xiu might even be the infamous Voice of Doom, the Doom Loop’s mysterious leader!

'MUTANT WAR' Part 7/Finale 'EX UTERO'
•BASTION has crossed centuries to end the threat posed by CABLE and ASKANI to the dominion of artificial intelligence over all life on Earth. He could have simply negated their mutant powers along with the assembled X-Men but he wanted them beaten by the machines' superiority.
•WOLVERINE and Ashen Knight X-23 were easily encapsulated in Child of the Vault SANGRE's hydrospheres, drowning being one of the few ways to kill such hyper-regeneratives. Plus it's very difficult to snikt your way out of water.
•STORM was fighting dirty with acid rain and ionospheric plasma in her lightning round against CADENA but the Child of the Vault's shields weathered the storm. Could Storm weather Cadena's vice grip on her throat?
•Ebon Knight NIGHTCRAWLER and OMEGA SENTINEL played teleportation tag for a bit before she found a pattern in Kurt's bamfs, and the furry elf might just materialize with her fist in his chest.
•Bastion himself took on the X-Twins, progeny of CYCLOPS & PHOENIX. He easily resisted Askani's flames and Cable's technopathic invasions. They were so young, not yet in command of their full power, and Bastion would end them before they reached it.
•For the second time tonight, the Alaskan night was wracked by the death scream of Bone King BANSHEE! More organic than techno, the Children of the Vault fell, freeing the Howletts and Storm. More techno than organic, Bastion and Omega Sentinel survived, and now that the surviving Outer Sphere arrived, it was time to negate mutant powers.
•Some of the mutants present, however, called upon more than just the power of their x-genes. Banshee sang his death scream, Ashen Queen LADY KWANNON commanded her X-Rings, and Jean Grey blazed with the sliver of Phoenix Force merged with her soul!
•Omega Sentinel and Kwannon almost destroyed each other but Bastion withstands the flames of the Phoenix and nanite-disrupting pulse blasts from everyone else armed with Cable's seemingly inexhaustible extradimensional weapons cache. A suicide run by Cyclops planted and detonated a tactical Kirbionic warhead on Bastion, shunting both of their consciousnesses randomly through the timestream!
•In a silence broken only by Jean's cries, two luminous beings descend. The future was saved. This Cable and Askani are the avatars of previously warring machine and mutant, the eternal embodiments of the Dominion Singularity and the Phoenix Force. After sending their younger selves back to a brighter version of the near future, they incinerated Bastion's body, and take their mother and the body of their father beyond what man or mutant or machine may know.
•The End?!
