If only super-heroing was as easy as using super-powers to beat up bad guys. Pete and Gwen, in using Bugle computers to hack into law enforcement systems have been caught and have confessed to Gwen’s dad Captain Stacy. It was only to help Flash Thompson from being pressured by gangsters to throw a game. What our intrepid teens have discovered is that a joint NYPD/FBI effort is being made to break a criminal organization. Special Agent Jean DeWolff lies in stable condition under guard after being shot as a message.
Although Pete found the low-level thugs threatening Flash, he only got clues to criminals farther up the line. He does some detective work and discovers at least two of his former foes have present ties to Wilson Fisk, a “humble” merchant dealing in fancy, premium, exotic spices. It should be no problem to investigate Fisk further and hopefully get some evidence to deliver to the police and FBI. Did we mention that Fisk often stays late in his Manhattan offices and is a physical powerhouse? Yeah, Peter didn’t know Fisk is a 400 pound mass of muscle either.
This adventure goes poorly for Spidey.
