Captain America finds himself back on Earth after a long and torturous year – first in space, and then he’s had to do WW2 all over again. Now arriving back to his own timeline through the Rift in Cardiff, he finds himself instantly surrounded by not four, but five major powers who want him back in the game, batting for their team. Two splinter factions of SHIELD, HYDRA, TORCHWOOD and UNIT. He’s going to say no to all of them, right? Steve’s place is with the Avengers, of course? However, when a sixth party enters the game, and kidnaps Steve right under Captain Jack Harkness’ nose, things are about to get real interesting. Because they may have captured Captain America – doesn’t mean that they’ve put him down for good, and they're prepared to sell him to the highest bidder in an auction that will decide who has the official ownership of one of the world's strongest superheroes! An auction this big is bound to draw the attention of both friend and foe, and Captain Jack Harkness may have to come up with a rather... unorthadox attempt to rescue his friend.

However, getting into the Space Fortress may have been the easy part, because getting out, and getting out with Steve Rodgers, is going to be the harder one, especially when Steve is unconscious and every villain, government and ambitious hero, with a big enough income is in the building. Jack does have one advantage on his side though, all their weapons were confiscated at the beginning of the event.
