THE FLASH #4
Plot by EXCITER
Written by ROBERT KIRKMAN
Art by FRANK CHO
“BLACK HELICOPTER MOM”
After barely escaping the Gorilla City quagmire, the Flash has a new concern: CIA Agent King Faraday now knows his secret identity. But the spymaster may actually be an ally: instead of leveraging his intel to coerce more favors, Faraday gives Barry a classified dossier on a former CIA asset that may be of interest: Nora Allen-Thompson, Barry’s dead mother!
Barry knew his mom was a biologist but thought she just lectured at Central City University - he had no idea she was involved with some skunkworks project called “Operation: Humble Pie.” Was her murder somehow related to this? The file is incomplete, but it’s still the best lead he’s had in years. Now all he has to do is figure out why his mother was doing clandestine research... on the metagene!?!
Flash Fact: A State’s Governor has the power to grant pardons and to suspend, remit or commute the sentence of any person convicted of any criminal offense in his or her jurisdiction.
He’d dreamed of this moment for so long. “Henry Allen, you’re free to go.” After serving nearly 20 years, he was finally being released from prison. The Governor commuted his sentence. But why now, after all this time? Did Barry finally clear him? The additional warning Henry receives lets him know: “Tell your son to stop looking into your wife’s murder. Tell him you really did do it, if you have to. But get him to stop... or else.” The threat came with the power of the Governor’s Office behind it. And behind the Governor’s Office... is the influence of the Light - and Vandal Savage! Henry Allen was just a mechanic; dare he defy such powerful people?

“MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION”
Warning! A state of emergency has been declared on the planet Klackdor VII. It is hereby declared a no-go zone by the authority of the Green Lantern Corps.
Doomsday is here. The seemingly unstoppable monster destroyed most of Klackdor VI before hitching a ride on a retaliatory missile fired at Klackdor VII - the planet who released Doomsday in the first place as a weapon against their intersystem enemies. Now they face the monster’s indiscriminate wrath.
The best the Corps can do is try to contain Doomsday on the planet via a space blockade: no vessels in or out. Any ship leaving Klackdor VII could be boarded by Doomsday - which seriously imperils the rest of the universe. But Hal Jordan isn’t prepared to stop innocent spacecrafts fleeing the surface... will he defy orders yet again?
Over twenty Green Lantern first-responders are already down, including Guy Gardner. But John Stewart is a former United States Marine - and he never leaves a man behind. He’s going in to pull them out of the fire. Oorah! But is even he prepared for what he’ll find?
Plus, at least one vessel dares to break the blockade: a customized SpazFrag666 Spacehog. A private party has paid Lobo handsomely to eliminate the big bony bastich by any means necessary - and that’s just what he intends to do! They say Doomsday can’t be killed the same way twice, and that’s cool with the main man - he’s creative! But has the last Czarnian finally bit off more than even his mouth can chew?

"Reign" Part 4
Steel finishes the machine. Ugly and crude, but it should get the job done. Steel manages the controls, Eradicator provides the energy, Superboy stands by with TTK in case something breaks down and Henshaw is there to rebuild it if necessary. Steel presses the button, and a loud tear forms in the middle of the machine, from nothingness. Slowly stretching to a breach, the Supermen enter...
The pain is excruciating. Feeling like they are being torn apart, the Supermen hold each other down, making sure none are lost in the Quantum tunnel created by the machine. Flashes of other worlds, other realities can be seen. For a moment, Henshaw wonders if the journey was needed, or if the trip itself would be enough to cause his death...
And just like that, it was over. The 4 Supermen stand in the middle of what looks like the SteelWorks factory, though it is in shambles and destroyed. They hide the machine, and step out into the darkness. What was once the proud city of Metropolis is now decrepit, and the smell of death is everywhere. Henshaw hacks into what's left of the internet through a nearby telephone booth...and as red rain begins to fall, what he finds is nightmarish. The Man in Black Part 3 of 3
Now - The silence of the night was broken by the deafening sounds of sirens and vehicles speeding through the streets of San Francisco. A fire had broken out at the not so abandoned Daggette Chemicals warehouse. Turns out that's where all the homeless people were and they have been manufacturing P&P. Luckily, none of them appear to be injured but none of them can remember anything from the last 2 weeks. The Man in Black turns his back to the scene and walks away smiling.
2 hours ago - An epic battle is waged at the Daggette warehouse between about dozen people against Red Robin, Spoiler, Static, and Gear. During the course of the battle, an explosion takes place in the warehouse, setting it ablaze.
4 hours ago - Static and Gear caught a break out on patrol. They spotted a hooded figure who they had pegged as a dealer and trailed him to the warehouse. They called Red Robin and Spoiler and together, they began casing the warehouse…until they were discovered by China White.
6 hours ago - From the diary of Tim Drake - November 20XX
Virgil and I discovered that P&P has a DNA tracker. We don’t know whose DNA it's looking for but this is more dangerous than we realize. It also appears that once the DNA is located, it appears that it will activate their metagene. We have find out where this originates and put a stop to it.

    • Breaking News**

“Lex Luthor and Morgan Edge announce Morgan Edge is buying the Thunder Corporation and re-purposing it as The Ledge Foundation. The Ledge Foundation will be a charitable for-profit entity that will focus on providing aid to countries worldwide.” Vicky Vale – WGBS News
Morgan Edge – CEO, Lex Luthor – COO, Slade Wilson – CSO (Chief Security Officer), Selina Kyle – CAO (Chief Acquisitions Officer), and Noah Kuttler – CSO (Chief Strategy Officer). To Renee Montoya, that lineup reads like a Who’s Who for villain rehab. The worst part, The Ledge Foundation will be based in San Francisco, where Montoya has recently taken a position as Captain of their new Major Crimes Division. Who knows what will happen with criminal activity with heavy hitters like Lex, Deathstroke, Catwoman, and The Calculator all occupying the same space. Then there’s Morgan Edge’s alleged involvement with Intergang. Her job just got a whole lot harder and she hasn’t even officially started yet. She had better be on her guard.
From the files of Lex Luthor
Captain Renee Montoya of Major Crimes (Oakland PD) – There’s one in every bunch, and Gotham had several, uncorruptible cops. But this one, Renee Montoya, she’s something else entirely. She’s a true detective, intuitive, stubborn, and worst of all, intelligent. I thought moving to Oakland to revitalize the area would be a good thing. Then I got word that Montoya was heading up Oakland’s newly formed Major Crimes Unit. Hopefully there’ll be enough crime that she won’t poke her nose too much into the Ledge Foundation.
