“YOU WON’T LIKE ME WHEN I’M NEGATED”
Fresh from literally escaping Hell and without much left to return to on Earth, Bruce Banner thought he would find some solace by reconnecting with his past life and visiting his old stomping grounds - La Paloma, New Mexico, the closest town to the original Gamma Bomb test site. He was wrong.
Shortly after his arrival, the entire area becomes a pocket of anti-magic corruption - a “negation zone.” Bruce didn’t immediately know what this meant, but he couldn’t mistake the fact that insectoid aliens suddenly appeared and started attacking everyone in sight! Claws! Pincers! Mandibles! Hurting innocents was all he needed to get angry... and these invaders won’t like him when he’s angry! Rrrrraagh!!!
Hulk smash bad bug guys! Hulk is strongest there is! Hulk is... wait, Hulk is puny? Why Hulk not get big and green? Hulk still in normal Banner nerd body but just stupider and angrier? Gamma power... negated! Oh $%#^! Hulk can’t smash $&@¥! Hulk gonna die!!

“FIND YOUR CENTER”
The Hulk’s current incarnation is just a really angry and dumb Bruce Banner that couldn’t smash his way out of a wet paper bag. By some miracle, he managed to survive his initial encounter with the insectoids invading La Paloma, New Mexico. But how long can he last?
Reverting to Banner, the good doctor realizes that he’s lost his powers before and, nonetheless, always has tools of his own that can get him back in the fight: his big ol’ brains. He’s a super scientist and not far from the lab where he originally developed the Gamma Bomb. He can craft other weapons there - like a powered suit he’s been brainstorming. With a few tweaks, he can have... the Bug Buster Armor!
The only problem is, when operating the Bug Buster he has to avoid getting angry at all costs - otherwise he’ll forget how to use it! This won’t be an easy task in a Negation Warzone!
Stay calm, find your center, and smash swarms of murderous insectoids!

“NEGOTIATION”
Okay, so things get weird here. Bruce Banner (the nerdy scientist, not the Hulk because the Hulk’s currently negated and can he even transform into the Hulk on Earth after the “One More Day” event anyway?) has been smashing insectoids using an off-brand XXL Iron Man suit that he calls the Bug Buster Armor. But is violence the only way?
Not all of Annihilus’ Arthosian minions are mindless drones, oh no. Some are downright geniuses and know how to “use their words” instead of just flipping out and getting angry. Enter Amicilus, the eloquent and elegant diplomatic insectoid. He challenges Banner… to a debate! Do the denizens of the Positive Matter Universe even deserve their home dimension, given how they treat it?
Bruce will have to call upon an aspect of his fragmented mind that he rarely uses… the Credible Hulk! You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry… because he always supports his well-articulated and direct arguments with verifiable facts and documented sources!

HULK IN NEGATION #4

“BODY HORROR”
Bruce Banner’s body and mind have been… traumatized, to say the least. There was his abusive childhood. Then the bombardment of gamma radiation that made him the Hulk. Then the machinations of the In-Betweener and his time off-world. More recently, the One More Day event “killed” the gamma radiation in his system. Then there was a trip to Hell and the lingering effects of Mephisto’s magic. Then a massive influx of anti-magic energy from the Negative Zone thanks to the Negation Wave. Once the Negation effect is over… who knows what he’ll transform into?
Will he be man or monster? Or both? Or neither?
This fear… this uncertainty… is overpowering. One way or another, this chapter of Banner’s journey is coming to an end. But he can’t worry now.
Bruce’s “Credible Hulk” persona is losing a debate to the eloquent and elegant insect Amicilus. He can smash the brainy bug’s logical fallacies easy enough, but Amicilus has raw charisma and a ready retort for almost all his points.
Yet when Annihilus dies and the Lawbringers take over, can Banner possibly argue Amicilus into rejecting the sway of the anti-magic-infused Cosmic Control Rod?
