When Melissa Gold, the SONGBIRD, decided to escort the young Gunna Sijurvald home to Zanadu in Vanaheim, she prepared herself for the bizarre.
But life has managed to surprise her even still.
She didn’t realize, for instance, that Zanadu was ruled by the despotic Mogul of the Mystic Mountain.
She didn’t know that Ulik the Troll ruled a different swath of territory.
And she certainly didn’t expect a neo-Nazi invasion to follow her across realms.
Melissa might not exactly be Orthodox… but she’s still Jewish. She doesn’t take that sort of thing lightly.

Victor Von Doom in “NEVER AGAIN”
Writer: CHRISTOPHER CANTWELL

Plot: CAPTCLEGHORN
Latveria is considered one of, if not THE most dangerous sovereign state on this planet. Yet, it has been well over a century since it has been in any war or any extended battle. The latest actions in the USA have caused Victor Von Doom, chancellor of Latveria to close the nation’s already tight borders. At 16:13 UTC Latveria lowered its flag and raised its flag of war, similar to the standard flag but in colors of red and black.
Von Doom has asked the EU to bond with him to put a complete no fly zone over the European continent. NATO is not an option as the US is the problem.
The members of Zemo’s team are shown to the EU representatives with their nazi leanings emphasized. At the end of the presentation a map of Europe is shown with the longest extension of third reich advancement and Doom finishes his presentation with two words. Never Again.

A gig is a gig — that’s what Thasanee “Carmilla” Black told herself when she took up the mantle of GREEN WIDOW for the Redeemers.
But as the world falls to chaos around her, she can’t help but think she’s maybe on the wrong side.
Bad timing for Carmilla, though, as the BLACK WIDOW comes calling, looking to serve a cease and desist notice the old-fashioned way — a no-holds-barred beatdown!
“THE ILLUSTRIOUS WONDER MAN”
Written by ROBERT KIRKMAN
Art by FRANK CHO
You may know Simon Williams from such hit TV shows as “Secret Hospital” and “Infinity Dogs.” Now the Hollywood-based actor, best known for his ripped abs, glistening teeth, and the fact that he also happens to have ion-based super powers, is trying to land a breakout role! His agent informs him that Disney is looking to cast the lead for its upcoming film, “Sentinel of Liberty: The Steve Rogers Story.” And who better than “Wonder Man” himself to play Captain America? A little jingoistic, sure, but Simon is confident he’ll be able to slip some progressive messaging in during the promotional tour. Plus, it’ll push his boundaries! “I can do things for days! Wait… it’s uhhh….. I can do things all day! Is that it?”
It seems the somewhat vapid thespian needs a little help getting into character. His plan: shadow the real Steve Rogers! Upon request (Hey Wonder Fans, what’s Captain America’s @? #Hero), Simon’s more-informed Twitter followers tell him that Steve is in Washington D.C. right now!
Wait, who’s this Zemo guy? He’s got incredible fashion sense (is that purple Hugo Boss tactical gear?!), but seems a little aggro. Will he make Wonder Man spill his tall, half-caff, non-fat soy latte? Oh, it’s on now!

Gwen Stacy in “IN THE BRIGHT SUNLIGHT”
Writer: KRISTIN HANNAH (“The Nightingale”)
Artist: WAYNE VANSANT (“The ‘Nam”)
Plot: CAPTCLEGHORN
The personal log of Acting Lieutenant Gwendoline Stacy:
“I am at a crossroads. Civil unrest has caused the mobilization of armed forces within our cities and I have been called upon to aid in that process due to both my upcoming attendance at the Air Force Academy as well as my prior experience with the Queens JROTC group.
“There has been considerable protesting against the latest actions of the US Government and it is up to us to make sure no one is hurt. I can’t speak to much success in that endeavor as some have died while dozens of others are wounded and needing hospitalization.
“This is not what I thought my service would be. It’s funny, but Flash’s grandfather used the exact same sentence when he returned from Viet Nam missing his left leg. I talked with him when I was accepted to the Air Force Academy and now I understand why that conversation was the only time I have ever seen any member of the Thompson family cry.
“I am considering deserting my post…
“Because I don’t think that I can live with this.
“I can’t live with this.”
“Siri, delete last entry.”

Back by popular demand!
August Hopper, aka the Locust, aka the Wasp, has no taste for white supremacy.
The only thing he has taste for is pesticides!
Not literally, that would kill him.
His pursuit of his passion brought him into conflict with Monsanto and their team of lawyers… now they bring him into conflict with the Department of Agriculture!
As Secretary, Fritz von Meyer has turned the department into a hive of Nazi-flavored apiculture, feasting on the farms of the nation!
(He’s a Nazi made of bees, if you didn’t catch on)
Food prices are skyrocketing, livelihoods are being destroyed, children are terrified of the outdoors…
The Swarm must fall – and who better for the job than the Locust!
No time to bug out – it’s time for Dr. Hopper to make a stand.
It’s Locust vs. the Swarm!
(You know, just like the title says)

Written by ROBERT KIRKMAN

Israeli super-soldier Ruth Bat-Seraph, better known as Sabra, has an opportunity. For years, “Sultan Magus” - the Qatari separatist formerly known as Dagan Shah - has been a major destabilizing force and supporter of terrorism in the Middle East. The alien technology Shah discovered and used to create Sharzhad made him all but unstoppable… until World War Zemo. With Shah’s technology hijacked by another evil monster, Sultan Magus has become something he hasn’t been since he first came upon Sabra’s radar: vulnerable. Will she seize the opportunity and take him out?
And how might the presence of the Shadow Avengers in Sharzhad complicate her efforts?
“REDEEMERS IN REVOLT”
Written by Al Ewing
Plot by H-E-D
Art by Linnéa V. J.
It started off as a gig, how did it end up like this?
While Zemo stuffed the government with dyed-in-the-wool Nazis, a lot of his Redeemers were just there for the cash.
And as Zemo’s New Reich heats up… they’re realizing that no paycheck is worth the price of collaboration and complicity!
Skein, Antlion, Axum, Mach-X, Satánica, Halation, and Centurius have all had enough – they’re quitting.
Instead of two-week’s notice, they’ve decided to hand in their resignation by way of a little old-school robbery!
They decide to steal Sct. Arnim Zola’s research to sell on the black market for a tidy payday.
Unfortunately – or, fortunately, depending on how you look at it – their infiltration of Zola’s Project Petrichor comes with a big complication.
Namely… Zola is still there.
These rebel Redeemers are soon in the fight of their lives against Zola – but this leaves Zemo’s forces doubly depleted as the final battle in D.C. gets underway!
Hurray for burglary!
Peter Parker in “WHAT CAN ONE MAN DO?”
Writer: ROGER STERN
Artist: MARCOS MARTIN
Plot: CAPTCLEGHORN
Peter comes from Gwen’s hospital room after her being shot last issue (WWZ:OTB #3). He returns home to Hauser Street to see Aunt May hold up in the basement, emergency supplies in place. Although most of the NYC problems are Manhattan based, many New Yorkers are acting as if they were Midwesterners waiting out a hurricane.
He doesn’t know what to do. There are hundreds, no, thousands of soldiers and the sides are unclear. He’s a HS senior, worried about a girlfriend and future school plans. He’s not Captain America or Thor who can just fly to DC and fight the bad guy on the Washington Mall.
But Pete has a costume. And so do many others in this world. So he fills his web-shooters, dons his mask and swings out to find them and offer his support.
He is a super-hero.
